Visits and Patient Counts for The Medical ManagerŪ

Have you every wondered how many patients walked through the door last month?  This project uses Pivot Tables to analyze patients per month, new patients and the related charge totals.

Definitions:

Patient - count of a unique person per month that had a visit.  All patient counts include new patients.

New Patient - count of a unique person whose first visit was in the given month.

Visit - count of patients per date of service.  If the patient had more than one charge posted on a date of service, the patient visit is only counted once per doctor.  If patients see more than one doctor during a visit, the patient visit will be counted once per doctor.

NOTE: many offices posted non encounter/visit based charges (interest, no shows, medical records, etc...).  Since every office used Medical Manager differently it is important to exclude non encounter based procedure codes from this project.
