Data Cleanup Projects for The Medical Manager®
As with any system, your reports are only as good as your data. Since it is possible to change dates of service and make other changes to charge information, we have created a suite of projects that will create useful lists and other reports that will assist in keeping your data clean and consistent.

- Compare Chg Activity to Chg History
- Duplicate Accounts Based On SSN If more than one account has the same SSN, it appears on this report. This report does not include accounts that do not have an SSN entered in patient registration.
- Future Dates of Service on Open Charges This report shows all open charges that have a Date of Service that is after the Date of Post. Since most insurance companies will not pay claims with future dates, this project will be useful in catching data entry problems. Make sure corrections are done it both /epro and /ehis.
- Future Dates of Service on Proc Hist Chgs This reports shows all history charges that have a Date of Service the is after the Date of Post. Correcting the dates in the history file will provide better statistical reporting for counting patients and other statistics that are based on Date of Service.
- Insurance Plans Form and Format List
- Missing Date of Birth on Patient Demographics
- Missing SSN on Patient Demographics
- Referring Dr Missing UPINs
Compares procedure codes in the open item Charge Activity table to the Charge History table. When procedure codes are modified through /epro after daily close and not corrected in /ehis at the same time, inconsistent entries are created that will impact the validity of procedure productivity and other open item and historical reports.
- Useful for checking that insurance plans are setup properly for billing- Useful for finding duplicate insurance plans.
